Primary responsibility will be to build a safety culture where every employee places a high priority on safety at all times. Requires the ability to positively influence and motivate employees to always demonstrate safe work practices and avoid unsafe acts at all times.

Position requires an individual with a high energy level and willingness and ability to engage employees and management to drive safety improvements.   We have 11 locations throughout central and north FL with a workforce of 275 field technicians. Our technicians are engaged in the installation and servicing of the Dish Satellite TV System.

The H&S coordinator will be expected to 50% of time.

Will work closely with our WC and auto carrier to identify root causes of losses and develop and implement corrective actions to avoid future occurrences.

1.     Policies and Procedures – defining policies and procedures including: JSA’s, Driving, Safe Work Practices, etc.

2.     Training

• Safety training portion for tech training

• Safety meetings & communications

• Chair Safety Committee

3.     Regulatory

• OSHA Compliance; Fall Protection, Ergonomics, Write-to-Know & Hazardous Material,  PPE, First Aide & Blood borne Pathogens, Forklift, Recordkeeping, etc

4.     Site/Facility Safety Inspections

• Job Site Inspection

• Incident Investigation & Corrective Action

5.     Risk Management

   WC Claims

• Claim reporting

• Claim monitoring

• Return to work program

  Vehicle

• Claim reporting

• Claim monitoring
